(Houston, Tx) (April 2020) Forward Science, a Houston based and locally operated MedTech company, successfully created a line of cleaning products including surface disinfectant and hand sanitizer to meet market demands during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Forward Science typically manufactures medical and pharmaceutical products focused on oral healthcare in their facility in Stafford, Texas. In response to the shortage of hand sanitizer in hospitals, the Forward Science team pivoted and began creating batches of hand sanitizer upon request from local hospitals. After the successful launch of hand sanitizer in March, the Forward Science team expanded their production into solid surface disinfectant. Forward Science is utilizing their FDA regulated facility to create high quality, effective cleaning products in an effort to assist healthcare professionals, the public and their local Texas community in the effort to stay healthy and clean.

“When we heard that there was a shortage of sanitizing products across the nation, we didn’t hesitate to jump in and help. We were able to meet the needs of numerous people with the launch of our hand sanitizer and it was clear that surface disinfectant would be the next product we would need to manufacture. We are one of few facilities with the ability to create these in-demand cleaning products safely and effectively. When we saw a need in our community and nation-wide, so we stepped up to create a solution,” said Forward Science’s President and Chief Technology Officer, Brian Pikkula, PhD. “Our solid surface disinfectant is a 3% hydrogen peroxide which is recommended by the CDC. ”
