Forward Science Relocates To New Facility

(Houston, TX) In January 2022, Forward Science, a Houston based and locally operated MedTech company, relocated their headquarters to a newly renovated facility in southwest Houston.

Forward Science founders, Brian Pikkula and Robert J. Whitman, started Forward Science with humble beginnings. The first “office space” for the company was a spare bedroom and garage that served as manufacturing and sales office of the first Forward Science flagship product, OralID. As Forward Science has expanded their in-house production of oral healthcare products over the years, the company has outgrown a number of office spaces. This newly renovated space will be Forward Science’s fourth facility in just one decade. “Forward Science continues to innovate and expand upon our existing product line,” says Forward Science Chief Technology Officer, Brian Pikkula. “We started this business with an oral cancer screening device, OralID, but we’ve continued to design, develop and manufacture an entire line of products all in one facility. It isn’t common today for a business to model this vertically integrated structure, but we believe in providing the utmost quality and service to our customers and that’s best done when everything occurs under our roof.”

Forward Science’s FDA-registered medical device and drug manufacturing facility is located at 10810 Craighead, Drive in Houston, Texas. A complete renovation of the 16,000 ft2 facility occurred at the end of 2021 to provide the Forward Science team with individual offices, inside sales and support center, collaborative meeting rooms, state of the art R&D laboratory and FDA regulated manufacturing rooms. “This new facility allows Forward Science to not only continue to grow our product portfolio, but accomplish our goal to decrease our dependence on international supply chain, says Forward Science Chief Executive Officer, Robert J. Whitman. “Over the last few years, the entire country saw a large dependence on overseas production. At Forward Science, we seek to bring manufacturing and innovation back to the United States—specifically in our home state of Texas!”
