Forward Science Donates Hand Sanitizer To Small Businesses/Organizations In Need

(Houston, Tx) In March of 2020, Forward Science, a privately held MedTech company founded in Stafford, Texas, began utilizing their FDA regulated facility to create high-quality surface disinfectant and hand sanitizer in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the need for hand sanitizer and disinfecting products began to grow throughout the community, Forward Science began donating their hand sanitizer to small businesses and organizations in need of these products.

“Being a small business ourselves, we understand the pressing need for hand sanitizer and disinfectant products in order to remain open,” said CEO, Robert Whitman. “The Forward Science team wanted to help other businesses and organizations operate safely during these times.” In honor of Giving Tuesday this year, Forward Science began the “Forward Science Giving Tuesday” initiative by donating hand sanitizer to local small businesses in Houston in need of sanitizing products. The small businesses that received hand sanitizers included Dumpling Dudez—a dumpling making experience and Saturn Machine—a CNC machining company.

Forward Science did not stop their giving efforts there, but also donated to two nonprofits. Smiles for All, a movement to tackle the oral health crisis, began a campaign to help those lacking access to dental care in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Forward Science participated in this movement by donating pallets of hand sanitizer to Homeless not Toothless, a 501C(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing free and quality dental care to the homeless, foster youth, and low-income persons in Los Angeles. Forward Science continued their generosity by donating pallets of hand sanitizer to the Kids In Need Foundation, a national 501C(3) charitable organization that provides teachers and students the tools and support necessary in the classroom. Due to the current pandemic, personal protective equipment (PPE), has become one of the highest requested supplies from schools this year. Forward Science took this opportunity to donate more of their hand sanitizer to help the Kids In Need Foundation supply under-resourced schools with the necessary supplies to operate safely during the current pandemic.

“We are so fortunate that we were able to pivot to making hand sanitizer in our facility, we know not everyone has the bandwidth to do so,” said CEO Robert Whitman. “At Forward Science, we are committed to changing lives and helping others, especially during these times. We’re looking forward to more opportunities to give back to businesses and help many more organizations in the future.”
